Te-ami String Rock

$0.00

Many lengths of coiled copper wrap the rock like string, complementing the veining on the unusual shaped stone. The tensioning on the netting was complicated, but the result is minimal and in sympathy with the esthetic of the stone. The thin lines create intricate webs which strike an interesting balance between the ethereal and the sturdy.

The plinth is Macrocarpa wood from Southland New Zealand. The wood has been burnt multiple times, sanded and polished until the desired finish is achieved.

This piece comes with the wooden plinth and is available from Public Record.
